Is there anyone who can help me to get IE connected to the internet on my old Del 4100 with XP installed ? I've been using it for quite some time until I recently had problems starting my machine and decided to reinstall XP from my original disc when I found I could no longer access the internet ? Details of what to do would be most appreciated.

Forget IE and go for Firefox. IE has a record of not working properly and having "holes" used by Hackers to get into your PC. Besides the index.dat mysterious spy file created in scores of locations on your PC and that Microsoft never explained.
