No boot from breadboard! (I've tried a lot)

This is my first post hope it's the right section! Any advice and help is appreciated! I posted a very long thing earlier and figured nobody wanted to read all that.

Problem: no boot! DRAM led solid red, no post, no output to screen at all so no access to uefi

Currently: I have breadboarded and now have the mobo with cpu and fan, one correct slot of ram filled, and the 24 pin and 8 pin in. Memok! And clearing cmos have not helped as of yet.

Question: so I've accepted that something is broken, but what? I wouldn't guess both sticks of ram would die at the same time, maybe I'm wrong.
also I don't have a motherboard speaker! I know I probably should but is that absolutely essential to finding the problem?

system as follows
Mobo: asus sabertooth 990fx r2.0
cpu: amd fx8350 w/ hyper 212
Psu: xfx pro 650w
Ram: 2x4gb Kingston hyper x 1600c9
Case: corsair air 540
gpu: gtx 980 g1
(Formerly 770, but upgraded without issues.)

Oh forgot to say! This all started after installing a pump and rad and stuff so I had to run the psu with a paperclip to run the pump for a leak test, maybe that was bad for my specific psu. Thanks for any help I hope this is a more inviting post than my last long essay.

I very much appreciate the link. I have been frustrated by this for a day or two so I've done everything in that list at least once. I will go ahead and buy a motherboard speaker though.

As nothing was wrong prior, is there any chance the paperclip could have damaged the psu? I touch the case quite often when I do anything inside of it, but don't wear an anti static wristband. Is there a chance something could be totally destroyed by static?

Thanks again for the quick response Ck

It's fine I would assume it's one of those topics that's just repetitive, I mean even looking through threads for an answer got repetitive so I don't blame the community.

I went ahead and ordered a psu tester and a motherboard speaker as well as anti static stuff too (I feel it's overkill but might as well play it safe!)

I'll update this with the cause of the problem once found, in case anyone else has experienced similar issues. Once again Ck response appreciated haha it's motivation to fix this angry machine

Here's one I haven't seen mentioned.

I was getting black screen boot failure after reinstalling my CPU cooler on an AMD FX-6300.

Double checked and triple checked every connection. Tried booting with one stick of ram, then the other.

I finally discovered the problem. I had taken the advice to not press the CPU into the socket too literally. The advice is always to just sit the CPU in the socket and close the latch because you don't want to force anything and bend pins. Good advice, but my CPU wasn't quite dropping down all the way into the socket. Just needed a little tiny press on one side to firmly seat it. Not real force, just a little nudge.

Lesson learned. I now make sure the CPU is fully seated in the socket before latching it.

I tried reseating the cpu as mentioned but with no success. It needed the new paste though it's been a bit. Thanks for the recommendation

Also the tiny speaker came today and when I remove my ram it gives me the one long, two short beep pattern which is correct according to the table of beeps Asus gave. When I put either of the sticks in any slot one at a time it does not beep at all, which I don't know exactly how to interpret other than bad.

Psu tester comes tomorrow I'll give that a go. I know coil whine is a common psu thing that doesn't usually affect performance but I had never heard mine do that until this happened, who knows... Last resort I will take it to a decent computer store and ask if they can swap parts to find the problematic part.
