I was thinking about getting a ghetto CX750M Power supply for a new gaming rig (4790K + GTX 970) but then I saw that RM PSUs were not that much more expensive. People buy them so much, but on professional forums they're often criticised for bad quality ( though not bad quality control in favour of SeaSonic and XFX PSUs. So am I making a mistake in buying an RM650 fro my PC and should I go with another brand in the same price range? What models do you recommend?

Thanks in advance.

theres no need for such a high Watt PSu, a 500w will be more than enough, but if you are planning on going with the RM650 its all good, the Psu is great but they are cheaper alternative.

I had a Corsair RM1000 and from what I have read and encountered, they do not do well under full load given if you are utilizing about 95% of the 1000 watts. They tend to fluctuate but is perfect if you utilize only 80% of the PSU's capability.
