Any recommendations on Ram looking for 2 x 8GB so 16GB in total which is compatible with the below specs.

Not really sure what speed I should be looking at .... 1600, 1866 or 2133Mzh (I've heard that there can be issues with the Notua D15 fitted.)

Mobo: ASUS MAXIMUS VII HERO
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming 4GB GDDR5 Dual DVI HDMI DisplayPort PCI-E Graphics Card TOP
Memory: ?????????
PSU: XFX XTR 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
Case: Corsair Obsidian Series 450D
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Best I've found are the Tridents, can get in about any data rate you might be interested in from 1600 on up. Have run their 1866 and up sticks to my current 2800 set (32GB). Also have tested a large variety of other brands and models, particulary 2400 sets (Corsair Vengeance Pro, Kingston Savage, Mushkin Black, Snipers, Ripjaws X and Z, Team Xtreem, ADATA, AMD, and others in different data rates and capacities

Dunno if it's any help, but my Noctua NH-U12S doesn't get fouled by my Corsair Vengeance Pro sticks - whilst the memory is taller than the bottom of the fan, it is about a finger's width in front of said fan. According to Noctua's site, the D15 shouldn't obstruct the RAM on that board, but if you're worried about compatibility, if you haven't bought the D15 yet, have you thought about the more slimline U14S?
