Multi Room Task Job Notification

Greetings all!
I need your help!
My boss wants to implement a process that will allow her to view and update tasks on her database from Access, and have the tasks move to my coworker and I via monitor.
So far, she wants a monitor/TV in her room and one in ours. She wants to be able to send us a task, or tasks, that need to be completed from her office to ours. She mentioned that the computer will need to be on our domain, and we will run whatever cables, if necessary, that is needed to share between the computer and monitors.
I was thinking, and looking around to see if there is a device that will allow this, and maybe via wireless so we don't have to worry about wires.
I know there are companies and industries that use this type of technology to display, for example, food orders or to let someone know they are up next.
If ya'll have any ideas about a device, or software program that can help us manage this, it would be great!
Thanks for your feedback.

  1. You can do this directly within Access.

A central Access application. All of you connect to the same mdb.
The boss enters a new task.
In the same Access mdb, you have a different form open on your screen, showing that table, or a query of that table. VBA code to refresh that form every minute.
When a new Row (task) is entered, you see it on your screen on the next Refresh. Maybe a checkbox to say "Yes, I've seen this" Then it goes away.

Thank you so much for the reply! I believe my boss mentioned that it can be done within Access, but I am not experienced with it. So, if it is connected to one machine, and it has dual monitors/TVs, one in her room and one in ours, she should be able to set it up so we can see the tasks on our screen?
I will definitely do more research about Access.

2 or more workstations, each accessing the same Access file.

Can be done, just don't go over 10-15 simultaneous users. 15 yrs ago, I built a shared Access app that was used between Los Angeles, Chicago, Cincinnati, Paris, winnipeg, and Sao Paulo. All at the same time.

It can be done, but it takes some investigation.

For your use..different Forms, each displaying different things.
