Hi all.
I would like some help upgrading my system. Actually I have:

Motherboard: PEGATRON CORPORATION NARRA5 Socket AM2+ (940)
CPU: AMD Phenom 8750 Triple-Core Processor
RAM: 4GB DDR2-803 - Dual Channel (2 slots of 2 GB)
Graphic: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650

Well, it is probably a bit outdated and I have discovered that on the motherboard there are only 2 RAM slots (not 4 as the images I have found suggest).
I used mostly for gaming, but I often make some video editing and several image editing. I guess that the thing to do is to upgrade at least the RAM, so I guess that the motherboard is to be changed too (may I put 2 4GB RAM slots?), the other way is to have a better processor, without changing the motherboard, I don't know. Any help will be appreciated. my budget is about 300$ (if needed).

Solution
Your mobo is very old, hehe. As you mentioned yourself it only have two DDR2 RAM slots, which is quite old. Personally, I would upgrade RAM, mobo and CPU. I would also update the GPU but in my eyes that is probably the best part of your PC, lol. How much VRAM does your GPU have?

Mobo: GA-970 AM3+ (100USD)
CPU: FX-8320 (150USD)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Blue 4GBDDR3 1600 MHz (43USD)

Total: 293 USD.

This is a cheap upgrade, however, even with these components they will be able to power and use a more powerful GPU. So if you opt for that setup, you can buy a decent GPU in the future.

My recommendation, always, is to be patient. Save money. And then buy quality when you can.

If you can't wait, I'd probably buy the above.

For $300 you can get a more modern CPU/motherboard/RAM set.

Especially for video ediing where CPU speed and RAM amount is king.

Intel Core i5-4460 Haswell $190

ASRock H97M Pro4 LGA 1150 $73

8 gig of RAM.

Right about $300 and will be a lot better system, your video processing will be way faster and will be great for games

thanks a lot for the answers, at the end I will go for a total upgrade, mobo, RAM, CPU, without changing the GPU which could be enough for anything I'd like to do.
@Whateverworks_19: you are right, I guess the GPU is the best thing in the case atm, infact I would like to stay with that as I have payed it around 100$ actually :)
