Reapplying thermal paste after test build?

Hi everyone,

I am building a computer for the first time and plan to test build it outside of the case first. I bought a h110i cooler, which has pre-applied thermal paste. If all the components work and I go to install it in the case, will I need to reapply the thermal paste to the cooler?

It is highly recommended you do. My suggestion, just install it once while it is in the case. If you really want to test it prior to putting it in the case just do not install the CPU cooler (or install the stock one for now if your nervous) and shut the system down as soon as you know you get into bios. There is so much quality control over components now days that it is hard to get a flop that strait up does not work unless you caused it. There is also more chance of electrical damage to components when not installed in a grounded case. It also doubles up on work. It is up to you though.
