Random Freezing, Random Crashing, and I have No Idea Why

TL;DR I have no idea why my PC is crashing and more commonly, freezing. I've looked up everything, and I cannot find the cause or how to fix it. It's only 6 months old!

I built this PC for my family about 6 months ago (specs below), and everything was fine. About 2 months later, the computer crashes. I pass it off and continue. About a few weeks later, it happens again. Over the course of about 6 months it gets more and more common, then the crashing gets less common and the computer starts freezing. Now it's freezing almost once a week.
I thought maybe the PC was overheating, so I downloaded HWMonitor and found that the processor (AMD Athlon X4 760k running with Stock cooler) runs at about 48 degrees Celsius at idle and the graphics card idle-ing at 41 degrees Celsius. I also made sure that there was a clear pathway for air to flow in the case (2 fans, one intake, one exhaust). I also know it's not overheating because when it was crashing and freezing, the computer was taking on simple tasks like browsing on Chrome, Youtube videos, and it would freeze most often on Office 2007 (more on that later). Games don't really phase it.
My family had purchased Kaspersky and had an extra license, so we scanned and scanned, and nothing was showing up, so I know it's not a virus or malware.
So I'm pretty much stumped. The only thing that has been odd since I've built it has been the power supply and/or the motherboard. The relations between the 24 pin power connector, and the socket on the motherboard is VERY sensitive. As in any sudden move can make it turn off. However, once it's in, the case... never moves, and any result of the chord moving just makes the PC turn off, no crashing or freezing (Like I said, it's very uncommon and rarely happens)
There was one more thing though. Like I said before, it would most often freeze when running Office 2007 (we had a license, so we just used it). Now I have no idea why, but something tells me it might be a problem with Office. However, as far as I know, it never crashes with Office, only freezes, so that can be a whole different issue.

Bottom line, I'm stumped. The PC isn't old (only 6 months!), it's not slow, almost brand new, (with fresh Windows 8 Install) and it's crashing and freezing about once a week. I've looked up everything, and I cannot figure out what the cause is. Any sort of help or reply is appreciated! Let me know what you think!

I don't think it is the temperatures because like I said, games never phase it. Not once has it crashed or froze when playing games like NFS: Hot Pursuit and Borderlands 2. I don't think it's the temperatures, but I will agree that 48 at idle is a bit high, but not high enough to cause problems.

Games don't task the CPU they task the GPU.
