As of right now I have a fm2+ mobo and there are not that many (if any) powerful cpus for gaming with this socket. I was wondering if amd will be making any, more powerful chips with this socket that will be better for gaming or will I have to save up for a different mother board that supports better cpus.

No, in fact it's not likely that AMD will be releasing anything noteworthy on any of the platforms out today.
The zen chips coming out sometime 2016 will most likely feature a whole new chipset complete with ddr4. So you wont be using your memory either.

The fm2+ socket is mainly used for APU's at the moment (CPU & GPU in one). It's also an extremely new socket, and since so many people are still invested in AM3/AM3+ sockets it may be a while before we see more FM2+ based CPU's. However, FM2+ tends to be backwards compatible with FM2 socket CPU's which are plentiful (because they are cheap, and very affordable).

If you are planning to use a GPU with your build I would suggest against this socket atm. It's mainly aimed at budget gaming pc's.
