First of all, I'm new to making a thread I've only read off of this forum before so please forgive me if I'm in the wrong area and correct me for next time, thanks! :D

Okay, so here's my issue. I've just built my own PC a few months back just before Christmas and this is my first one. I just replaced the heat sink with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO (I heard that was a good one.) I applied the thermal paste 4 times just to get it right because I'm a derp. I've never really observed my FPS before because it all felt new due to me never have 45-60 FPS before so I obviously had no complaints until lately. I like to playing games like Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4 and some Call of Duty the odd time and I've been having FPS issue like dips to the 40s. I just recently looked at my Task Manager when playing and I seen that my CPU wasn't going above 50%, my GPU was all over the place it went to the 60s, 70s and 80s so I was assuming that is normal. I think this is a bottleneck and if it is, or it's something else please help me. I might be a noob but I never forget to provide my SPECs ;).

SPECS:
GPU-R9 280x Vapor-X OC
CPU-FX-8350 OC to 4.3GHz
RAM: 10GB at around 800-900Hz
PSU: 850W
Mobo:MSI 970A-G43 on the newest BIOS

I have the motherboard on the self overclocking mode so I didn't do anything myself.
I'll try to edit this later and attach a video, thanks for your help in advance (Hopefully someone comes to my rescue.) 4

Solution
``RAM: 10GB at around 800-900Hz `` i do not understand that thing??? it suppose to be 2X4 GB DDR3 ram dual channel kit

anyway i suspect the cpu is not really compatible with the MSI 970A-G43
this mobo do not have vrm heatsink ...so i suspect a vrm overheating and the cpu cooler hyper evo 212 is not sufficient for
cooling this cpu

To me that sounds pretty normal. Most of the time gaming your FPS will fluctuate depending on the amount of work the card has to do to render the scene(s). The 50% on the CPU is probably normal, too. Most games don't use more 4-6 cores, so if the game you are playing uses only 4 cores that would be 50% usage. (Metro Last Light Redux, on my machine with an 8120 cpu, uses 6 cores). I don't think you have any bottlenecks with that set-up.

What motherboard is good for this CPU?

a good and cheap one.... asus M5A97 EVO R2.0 or asus M5A97 R2.0
usually i suggest a 990FX mobo for a FX 8350 cpu but if you are on tight budget...the both above will do the job

and the both mobo from SR-71 blackbird are good too ( but i am not a big fan of gigabyte , sorry )

Uh, why? If you were already planning on an upgrade to Intel, then put up with the performance you are getting, or buy an FX cpu that is on the supported list to carry you through, and later up grade to the Intel.
OR, upgrade now and sell what you have. An Intel upgrade will required a new Intel motherboard and maybe a reinstall of Windows. Part of the cost of doing that might be recovered by selling your AMD components.
I always try to keep in mind that if a game will play at about 30-40 frames-per-second with the visuals set where I want them, then I am not gaining much with additional frame rates. If you are not gaming on 4K or 1440 resolution and you are getting dips to 40 fps, does it really matter that much.

Your right, but if I do get this new motherboard and new CPU do you promise better performance or am I taking a guessing game?
