Hey everyone,

So first here are my specs:

SYSTEM: 64 bit
MOTHERBOARD: Asus P8Z77-VLK
CPU: i5-3570K @ 3.40GHz
RAM: 16 GB
GPU: GTX 560ti 2GB
PSU: RX-1000AE (1000W 80+gold)

Now I'm trying to upgrade my GPU to either a GTX 970 or a GTX 780
I've looked at a bunch of benchmarks, reviews, compared them side by side multiple times and I still just can't decide.

I found a GTX 780 3GB for $280

  • Clock Speed: 863MHz
    Boost Speed: 902MHz
    CUDA Cores: 2304
    Memory Clock: 6008MHz
    Memory Inferface:384-bit

& I found a GTX 970 4GB for $340

  • Clock Speed: 1190MHz
    Boost Speed: 1342MHz
    CUDA Cores: 1664
    Memory Clock: 7010MHz
    Memory Inferface: 256-bit

So my question is,

Will either cards run on my setup? (No bottleneck, etc.)
Which card should I get? & why?
Is the GTX 970 worth the extra $60?

Getting either one will be a HUGE upgrade from my current GTX 560ti so I'll be happy either way; I just won't be upgrading again for awhile so I'd like to get the best.

So if you could help me out, that would be awesome!
Thanks

The GTX 970 has more vRam, newer and consumes less power and has similar performance or even more than the GTX 780 I'd say it's more beneficial in terms of future proof.
