GPU: Geforce GTX 660
CPU: Intel Core i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Storage: 128 GB SSD, 2 TB HDD
OS: Windows 8.0

My computer restarts when under heavy loads, or at least, I assume so. It only does it when I am playing graphically intensive video games. If I turn down the graphics settings on games, it stops happening.

When it happens, the CPU's fan goes to (what I assume) is 100%, and the screen goes black. From there, it sometimes restarts itself, other times I have to manually shut it down.

It started when I installed a new GPU in my computer. I replaced a 630 with a 660. When it began happening, I figured it was my power supply(it was only 300W), so I purchased a Corsair CX600. It was still happening, so I got a replacement, and that did not fix it. Now I don't know what to do. I can only guess that it's an issue with either the CPU overheating, or some unknown issue with the GPU. It has never happened outside of playing video games.

I wouldn't know how to test the temperature of anything, so any help in figuring out the issue would be much appreciated.
