windows detected only 7.7gb ram?

i have 2 4gb ram but windows only detected
7.7 gb. is it because of a static shock that i disabled some pins? should i buy another one? is it enough for current and upcoming games(7.7gb ram)

If you are not running a discreet video card, part of your main memory will be allocated to the onboard or integrated video on the motherboard or cpu.
7.7 gigs is plenty for all games available now.
Unless you install massive amounts of texture mods.

This is happening to me right now. I do not have integrated graphics as I am using an fx 8320+ 280x. This only happened after I setup raid on 2 HDDs.
