I am planning to buy GTX 750 ti, and would like to know more information before buying this, I would like to know if there is anything better, much better than GTX 750 ti without going away from the price range of GTX 750 ti.
Also, it needs to have VGA or comes with a VGA adaptor.

as for 4 years i dont see that happening ( you could still play games on lowest settings) but it realy all depends on what games will be. right now you can play bf4 on ultra at 60 fps, i think i would haft to look again. ofcourse that is oc. i think for the price the 960 is a beast of a card

Depends whether you're getting the least expensive model or one of the overclocked options - in terms of performance, it all depends on what you are intending to do with your system. The 960 is a slightly more expensive option but it doubles the CUDA cores and greatly increases your clock speed and ram speed, but it uses more power and puts off more heat so in a small form factor case that might be worth nothing as it could require creative fan placement to keep the rest of your components from feeling the burn while you game. If you're wanting to do a single monitor setup @ 1080p, either card can handle most of the games out there though you might have to decrease from high to medium settings on some of the higher end games to maintain decent FPS, the 960 would obviously have a little more muscle to handle that. If you're planning on setting up Nvidia Surround across multiple monitors, neither of these cards are going to handle that well. I have tested 1080p across 3 displays on my 4GB 770 overclocked card and it wasn't exactly thrilled about the experience so bear that in mind if that is something you were wanting to try.

If I were looking at a new card and didn't need to buy immediately, I would probably wait to be able to increase my budget to get a 970 - additional increase in cuda cores over the 960 and you double your video memory which is cherry for games with additional texture effects like the Battlefield series and Skyrim.

i would agree with game junkie save your money for a little while and get a gtx 970 youll be alot happier that you did since the 970 will max out almost any game in 1080p it does have a dvi to vga adapter so you are good there

Hi,

I think I have waited long enough since I played using my APU for almost 2 years now. I wont get more budget because I would like to think of myself as a Gamer per se, but not a hardcore one that will buy an expensive vid card. I can afford it but wouldnt want it. Looking online on our local stores here the price would be twice if I considered 960.

Comparing the 2 below link, I think they are likely Identical, correct me if I am wrong because I dont understand most of these.
750ti vs 960

I can tweak my budget a little higher but only if it has an upside. I could consider 960 if its future proof for 4 years :D. Im really a cheap guy

if you arent a hardcore gamer and dont mind playing games on a lower quality then i would go with the 960 it has a higher core clock and boost clock along with a higher memory clock and more cuda cores it also has better cooling ( two fans instead of one) so you will be able to oc and get even more power. for a extra 50$ your getting better specs enough to justify the 50$

Thanks, I actually am considering 960 now. Now I am asking here about the 960, why does prices vary and I am confused if I can buy the cheapest one. Its 25% more than the GTX 750 Ti, I was planning to buy so its a win somehow.

960 is a good card, especially for the money. My only grievance is that they don't have a 4GB variant.

Pricing is going to depend on the manufacturer, the GPU cooler/fan system they employ and the amount of overclocking they have setup. I like Evga personally in terms of bang for your buck but ASUS is uber reliable and I have had good success with the support team.
