Hi, im thinking about getting an SSD. I have used up 300GB of my hard drive so i was wondering, if i got a 256GB SSD how would i transfer just programs over? Or just Windows files for fast boot up? Thanks

The Samsung data migration application allows you to select files that are excluded. Not sure how well that works. I migrated my data to another HDD prior to cloning the drive. Then using disk management, insured the data drive remained the same letter for the programs.

Leave the hdd in the pc .. Just dump the files which wont benefit from ssd.. And get the ssd and install os and install programms which would benefit from ssd..
If u cant have both.. Get an sshd.. It is not as fast as an ssd but not as slow as hdd..u wont see difference instantly but definatley u will see later on as u use your system more and more..
