Yes but you'll have top do some things like remove old drivers (I think before you install it, and you might have to install the new drivers in safe mode or just use the Windows basic graphics driver).

Yes. In fact, IMO that's a good way to do it; get the system up and running, test the motherboard, CPU, drives, and RAM, and then add a video card after everything else has drivers loaded and working.
