Can't get the my ram to speed

My build : Asus p8h77-m/csm
I5-3570k ( not overclocked so 3.4ghz, turbo at 3.8ghz )
Kingston Hyper-X Savage 32GB @ 2400MHz ( 4x8 )
Sapphire Radeon HD 7990 ( with AMD drivers )

problem : As mentionned earlier, my Ram can go up to 2400MHz and I am aware that my board goes up to 2133MHz ( according to websites, and 2200MHz according to the box ) but it seems that my ram is stuck at 1600MHz, whenever i go into my BIOS and try to get it higher, the computer wont start. I tried putting it on X.M.P. setting as some mentionned over the internet, simply changed that by default it would go to 2200MHz instead of 1600MHz but still doesn't start. I have "AI Suite 2" installed, but can't find any option to try and overclock my ram. ( I saw on the internet that AI Suite can slow down my computer by about 10 - 15%... is that true? and since i don't overclock my CPU, should I uninstall it? )

Have you tried setting Ai Overclock Tuner to manual, Memory Frequency to 1866 and DRAM Timings according to the JEDEC values corresponding to 1866 (install CPU-Z and check the SPD tab: http://cdn.overclock.net/c/cb/cbb07334_CPU-Z20SPD.png ?

Try installing CPU-Z and posting here a picture similar with the one above (the SPD and memory tabs)

OK, In BIOS, set Ai Overclock Tuner to manual and Memory Frequency to 1866, without changing the timings. See if working.
For 2133 MHz, adjusting the timings and voltage (1.6V) is necessary, but I don't recommend it.

I will try, and then post the results, but is it possible to have some picture on what to do just to make sure I change the rigth settings and I don't make my computer explode?

Also, should I reboot in a special way to make sure i protect my RAM or is it pretty safe?

edit : IT at my job told me I probably need a BIOS update, after some research, I have asus bios version 1202. I will try installing version 1306, see if it works and I'll give some news.

tried putting ai overclock tuner to manual and putting at 1866mhz like you sayd, after 10 minutes of the computer not restarting I forced it, this is the result.

Increasing the RAMs voltage to 1.6V and adjusting the timings might be needed, then... but I suggest leaving the RAMs at 1600. No significant improvement if increasing the RAMs speed.

when I put in XMP, the voltage is already at 1.65 and the timing i dont know where to check that or how to change it

i'll leave it at 1600 for now but id like to know how to manage to get to 2133 since my MB can go there, and i changed my 16GB 1600mhz for 32GB 2400mhz lol

Going to need a pretty healthy OC of the CPU to run 2133 and not all 3570Ks can run 2400, also need additional voltage to the MC (memory controller)

Try this:
Memory Frequency to 2133
DRAM Voltage to 1.60V
DRAM CAS Latency to 11
DRAM RAS to CAS Delay to 13
DRAM RAS PreTime to 13
DRAM RAS ACT Time to 30
DRAM Command Mode to 1
MRC fast Boot to Disabled
Save and Exit.
See if working.

computer did not start. ( how long should I wait after exiting BIOS before forcing it to restart? should the overclocking be instintanious? )

It doesn't work without OC-ing then. Clear the CMOS and... I suggest leaving RAMs at 1600.

alrigth, but I heard you can have a pretty stable 3579k at 4.5GHz? and since the chances are I won't OC, should I uninstall ''ai suite 2''? I heard it slows down your computer?

I guess that any board/CPU would have difficulties in running 32 GB at 2400 MHz.
However, I suggest starting a new thread on this topic.
