Bought a ASUS motherboard and some parts. Later when put them back together it didnt work and I got q-code 99. I sent back the motherboard to the retailer and they said that the pins were scewed and that the warranty wouldn't cover it!

I am unclear if some pins are touching eachother, if they are could that cause a shortage? Otherwise it could be fixable by a ghetto solution.. Help please!

Yes if you have tried to turn it on i.e. provided power. Which I think you have done but if your motherboard have some safety feature like guard pro then it would not have caused any damage to the motherboard.
