Hello everyone! I am planning on upgrading my RAM on the Dell Inspiron 660s. I currently have an Intel Core i3 with 4GB of RAM and I am upgrading to the maximum (8GB). I was also wondering what determined the maximum amount or RAM of a system. I was looking at these 8GB kits on Amazon(http://www.amazon.com/Crucial-Ballistix-PC3-12800-240-Pin-BLS2KIT4G3D1609DS1S00/dp/B006WAGGUK/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1423778288&sr=1-1&keywords=8gb+ddr3+ram, http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-PC3-12800-1600mHz-CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B/dp/B004QBUL1C/ref=sr_1_13?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1423778670&sr=1-13&keywords=8gb+ddr3+ram) My questions are, would these kits work in the first place and if they both do, which one would you recommend? I feel like the Corsair one wouldn't fit because it looks fairly tall and there is a giant fan shroud covering my RAM. One more thing, is it better to just add on 4GB of RAM to make 8GB or to just buy a new kit entirely? I was reading something about dual channel (is that what it is called?) and I was worried that if I did that, the RAM sticks wouldn't work in dual channel because they are different brands or something. (I'm pretty new to this concept of upgrading my PC) Thank you for taking precious time out of your day to read this! I really appreciate it!

Thanks a bunch for replying! I'll be sure to pickup the Crucial RAM! If you know, what affects the amount of RAM that is able to be installed in a system? Thanks in advance!
