OK, as the title suggests I am having trouble with my internet. I currently moved back in with my parents because of increased rent >.>.
-They have a Comcast Modem that it giving 105MBps service
I usually use a LAN wired connection for my internet so I have an old Edimax micro USB (see link below) it is like about 2-3 years old. http://www.edimax.com/edimax/merchandise/merchandise_detail/data/edimax/global/wireless_adapters_n150/ew-7811un
-I am getting 4-5 bars on signal strength, but only getting at max 3MBps on download speed and about 12MBps on upload speed with 13 ping (speed test)

I plan to get: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/netgear-n900-dual-band-wireless-n-usb-adapter-black/4962089.p?id=1218586474932&skuId=4962089
-Since my current wifi adapter is really old and crappy

Details: My room is approx. 75ft from the modem =.=, there is a "wifi booster" I believe (see link below), which is about 30-40ft from the modem but about 10-20ft from my room. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/netgear-universal-wi-fi-range-extender-with-ethernet-port/2733324.p?id=1218349687077

THERE IS NO WAY TO MOVE THE MODEM TO ANY OTHER LOCATION :'(

Other details: The modem is on the "bottom left" CORNER of the house, if looking at the house from the outside. My Room is on the "TOP Right" CORNER of the house. So I am literally on the other side of the house of where the modem is. (there is about 3-5 walls between me and the modem)
-Also they do not use the internet at all, only for the Chinese TV adapter which needs internet and the rare internet surfing.

Solution
Your only issue is distance.
If that 'Range Extender' is getting a bad signal, then it is getting a bad signal.

If you absolutely cannot run an ethernet cable, look into powerline devices. Pushes the signal from the main router, through the house wiring, and out to your PC.
Or, if the house is already wired with coax (for TV), MOCA devices. Same thing, but pushes it through the house coax.

WiFi is a distant 4th behind the above suggestions.

Powerline adapters work differently than your range extender... it does all it's connections wirelessly, whereas the powerline connectors basically use your house wiring as ethernet cables. They work pretty well in most situations, so I'd say they are worth giving a try.

Basic powerline set:

There's also a set that gives ethernet (2 ports) plus a wireless access point (that will probably work better than your netgear range extender).
