Hypothetical situation:

Motherboard supports dual channel, with two black slots and two blue.
You have two 2GB sticks at 1600 and two 4GB sticks at 2400.

Do you put them all in? I know within the same channel it uses the slowest speed, but does that rule apply here?

Solution
Nay be tough to get those to play (at any freq), if you have them, give them a try - would want the 4GB sticks in slots 1-3 and the 2GB is 2-4 - that will put 6GB in each channel and maintain dual channel - will prob take DRAM and MC voltage changes along with timing changes
