I dont think there is any problem cpu heat and the gpu. Its just that during gaming session, my pc randomly turn off by it self. It doesnt happen immediately, it just happen randomly.

Shadow of mordor, I play 6-7 hours, then turn off by itself. Sims 3 only took 4 hours.

This happen recently, before that I can play dragon age inquisition for 12 hours straight without any problem. Any suggestion to resolve this issue?

My spec, CPU i7 4790k, Gigabyte Windforce R9 290, 8GB Ram, PSU Corsair CX750M, Mobo Asrock B85 Fatality Killer.

Although you think it's not heat, it probably is. Download some software (Core Temp is a great one) or check your BIOS and see the temps. You may need to replace your thermal compound.

If you are on a cheap cooler then it is most likely the VRMs overheating and you may want to try tweaking your cpu clocks/voltages to test this out
If that doesn't work try the same thing with your GPU on a program such as MSI afterburner

At first I thought its the heat, before my cpu temp while idle 45-50 degrees, while load is can reach 70 and even 80. So I change the thermal paste, and adjust cooling fan, my cpu temp reduce 37 degrees idle and 50-55 degrees during gaming session. But my PC still turn off randomly during gaming session and also turn on back by itself. GPU temp was idle 45 degrees and gaming session is 70-80 degrees.

This issue never happen before and, I've been using this PC for almost a year now.
