This is seriously the most you will need to spend. This is wayyy way more than enough for what you will be doing. I chose a couple things that would be specific for your use case. 1. I chose a after market CPU cooler because this thing will be running for a long time and I am guessing that it will be under load quite a bit too. So due to this, picking up a cheaper after market cooler will preserve the life of a xeon.

2. 16GB of RAM. All you need is 8GB but since there is no point in waiting (Youll need it eventually) I put in 16GB.

3. The BLACK SERIES HDD will allow you have have faster load times in games and it will quicken things in regards to video editing.

4. Last but not least. Normally I would suggest a normal TS 550 (Bronze) but since you will be running this quite a bit I used a gold rated. This allows the PSU to be more efficient since it will be on so much.

Feel free to ask any questions :)

This seems great! Leaves about $100 for some Steam games..

Just a quick question.. Will I also be able to play 1080p at 60fps? maybe lower on more intense games like STAR CITIZEN, ARMA 2/3, DayZ? but more importantly... CAN IT PLAY MINECRAFT 1080p 60fps?!?!?! Lol.

THIS LOOKS GOOD! Thank You!! :D

Can it play minecraft.. Haha. Yes of couse. This system can max out any game at 1080p with 60 FPS as long as it wasn't developed in a some library. For example, ARMA 3 and DayZ. Two of those most inefficient games. This GPU can definitely play those games with solid FPS. But those games are so poorly optimized that the best hardware out there can barely play these games well over 60FPS. The same story is for CT's build with these games. Our builds are very similar with some things.

Ahh, Okay. One last thing, what about a sound card? I could get speakers , but all of the build people have suggested don't have sound cards. Do I need them or?

Why? I'm not trying to fight or anything, I just don't understand. Also most system requirements say "Intel-core I-5 - I-7. and Quad-Six Core processors..

The Intel Xeon E3-1231 V3 3.4GHz Quad-Core ProcessorP.. Is that good? All I've heard of is I-3 I-5 and I-7. I'm probably going to order this build tomorrow but I just don't know about the processor..

The Xeon e3-1231v3 is probably my favorite cpu on the market. It offers i7 performance for an i5 price. Throw it in a solid H97 motherboard and you're good to go. Just remember that it has no igpu so you MUST use a video card at all times with it.

Not unless you are good at guessing where everything is ;)
