hey yall, quick question!

my generous friend decided to gift me a free gtx780 for single awareness day, but idk if its a necessity to upgrade my PSU(evga 500b as stated above)

my current build is:
Radeon HD 6670 --> to be gtx780
i5 3570k 3.4GHz
8gb RAM
single monitor

don't exactly have the money to buy a new PSU atm. Is it workable?

Solution
A GeForce GTX 780ti needs 42 amps on the 12v+ rail and a 600 watt power supply with 2 - 6+2 PCIE power connections.

The EVGA 500B doesn't meet the requirements to run a 780ti , the 12v+ rail is too weak.

Max output is 480W on the EVGA 480 DIVIDED by 12 = 40 amps on the 12v rail , not strong enough to run a 780ti.

42 amps x 12 volts = 504 watts ...the review link says around 300 watts draw (@ stock clocks, full load)
