Computer is running unbearably bad after windows 7 reinstall.

So a couple of months ago I did a boot&nuke and reinstalled windows 7 since my computer had been running a bit too sluggish for my taste. Once it was all reinstalled I realized I didn't have my original driver disks, so I downloaded a bunch of graphics card and mother board drivers onto a thumb drive and installed them all individually from there.

Once I was back online I immediately knew something was wrong, my computer was crawling on it's hands and knees with a bloody stick up its ass. I couldn't even open a web page in under 5 minutes. :pfff: Programs were crashing left and right, downloading anything took ages and I couldn't run multiple tasks if my life depended on it. I tried a plethora of troubleshoots, and eventually figured I must have messed up my drivers when I installed them or something, seeing as though that was really the only thing that I could think of that was different from when I originally installed windows and my drivers and the like. So I hunted down my old driver disks that I used when I first built my PC and did another wipe and reinstall of windows, this time installing the drivers and software from the disks instead of the ones off of the internet.

Initially it felt better, but only at first. Once everything was installed and updated it was just as bad, hell maybe even worse. The only way I'm using it right now is because I overclocked my CPU and ram and whatnot to give it an extra boost, it helped, but only by a little. I'm starting to think it's a real hardware issue, but I'm not sure, seeing as though these issues only really started arising after I wiped my drive and reinstalled windows. But that alone should have made it run better, not worse.

Can anyone suggest any tests I can run to narrow down my issues? Hardware tests? Driver tests? I'm starting to get desperate at this point :( Any help would be much appreciated.

Here are my pc specs if you'd like to examine them:

BTW, sorry for the "wall-o-txt" (if you can call it that) but I like to be as descriptive as possible. Feel free to inquire as you like, I may have left out some pertinent information, i'm getting pretty tired and fed up with this crap, lol. I swear it's been months since I've had a computer that functions correctly.

Sorry for the pretty large delay. Yes I have had a look at your tests, it seems that on one of the benchmarks, from the data provided your write speeds were at a extremely low speed of 9941KB/s. So yes, i do believe this is a hdd issue, and if possible I would request for a warranty replacement.

This sounds like a hardware issue, more prcisely a hard drive issue. Do you have multiple external hard drives connect to your computer? Try removing them and see if there are any noticeable differences. My friend just recently had this issue.
If not, I can recommend you either refund your hard drive using warranty claims if available or purchase a new one.

I do not have any external hardrives connected, (unless I don't know what an external hard drive is) I only have the one internal WD-B 1-TB hard drive. But honestly, if there were one piece of hardware that I would replace, it would be the hard-drive, ever since I first built my PC it has given me trouble, albeit minor trouble (I.E the occasional failure to write unto disk, or the failure to read disk when booting). The wipe and reinstall of windows most likely exasperated this issue.

Is there any test I can run to gauge the consistency of the hard-disk? To confirm that this is indeed the issue?

-Thanks

http://www.hdtune.com/

This will test your current read and write speeds on your hard drive, scan for errors and check disk health.
If you can post a screenshot of your test that would be good, also if you open task manager you should have a tab which shows your current hdd disk usage, if it seems to be quite high when nothing is running, if on windows 8 I can speak for my self I can see which tasks are using what.
Do these two things and we should be able to determine whether it is a hard drive issue

Ok, I ran a multitude of tests, half of which I barely understood the purpose. But nonetheless here are the pictures, let me know what you think, and thanks for all the help BTW.

Let me know if you can view these, or if you need more: http://s1072.photobucket.com/user/thepoormansbutter/library/?sort=3&page=1

It's been a while, but hopefully I will be able to get them to replace it. Thank you for the help man. Much appreciated.
