Hey guys, I just built a new PC and I'm having trouble. Everything in the case is lighting up, all the fans are working on the mobo and graphics card etc but the monitor is not receiving signal. Just the power led flashes while the screen is black.
The mobo is a x99s sli plus and the gpu a gtx970 windforce.
Other information that may be handy to pin point what's wrong:
I have tried booting with just one stick of ram, but that doesn't do anything. That being said I'm not certain what slot it should go in. I've tried the first slot in both sides.
I have a 6+2 pin and a 6 pin connected to the gpu, is this ok? I don't have to use a full 8 pin in place of a 6+2 right? I also have a Y 2 x 4 pin connector that goes into the CPU 8 pin slot up the top left of the mobo. Again, this is fine in place of a full 8 pin correct as they all fit fine?
Please help, this is incredibly frustrating.
