Good day all!

Currently in the process of researching/building a new computer with the help of pcpartpicker.

PCPP estimates my wattage to be at about 383.

Trying to get the best bang for my buck on a PSU! So....

Can get a 500W PSU for $30
500W EVGA PSU

Or a 430W PSU for $20
430W EVGA PSU

Question is....can I get the 430W PSU and still comfortably run said computer or should I drop an extra $10 for an extra 70W?

Any advice/info is greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Well, the r9 280 requires a continuous current of 43 amps on 12v+ rail, both of your psus are not sufficient.
I'd recommend a good quality 550w unit for your...

Most likely, that 430 w psu will do just fine...But if you have the money then I say go for the extra wattage. Also, try and look up the recommended psu for your gpu. For example; my pc only uses 350watts at the most! But my graphics card reccommends a 500watt power supply.I ended up getting a 480 watt psu but I am going to upgrade it soon. If I were you I would get the 500watt psu just in case you want to upgrade in the future!!!Good luck!
