UPDATE: IT WAS THE MOTHERBOARD
I recently moved and took great care with my computer during that process. After I turned it back on I was having an issue with my monitor getting no signal. After re-seating the RAM the monitor started working. However I started getting the BSOD, mostly memory related. My troubleshooting process follows below:
4x2G DDR3
1. Removed and re-seated all RAM - Windows boots and BSOD within 5-10 minutes
2. Performed RAM test at re-start - Passed, no issues found - BSOD within minutes after windows boots - All RAM shows up in physical memory
3. Removed all RAM except 1 - Windows boots, no issues, no BSOD, super slow with only 2G Ram haha, tested multiple slots and RAM sticks
4. Tested all sticks, one stick at a time - No issues
5. Tested 2 sticks at a time - WINDOWS STARTS TO BOOT BUT NO LOADING SCREEN AND NEVER LOADS - tested multiple slots and RAM configurations, same issue.
Is this definitively a RAM problem or could the MOBO have an issue trying to use all 4 RAM slots? And why does windows not load fully with 2 RAM slots? The monitor is getting a signal, it's just black...
Thank you community!
UPDATE:
MOBO: msi 760gm-e51
RAM: 4x2GB DDR3 1333 PC3 - 10600
CPU: AMD Athlon II x4 630
- No found loose connections/wiring
- Re-seated CPU, booted with one stick RAM - no issues
- Inserted all RAM, booted but windows didn't load. Back screen (WTF?)
