Im looking for a printer to meet my occasional printing and scanning requirements.

I need to print academic papers, applications, few copies of my pics for applications. As per now not much bulk printing is intended.
There are a lot of cheap multifunction printers under $50.But their cartridges cost more and you will only get around 100 prints from a single cartridge.
eg:HP 1510

But HP1515 can give 500+ pages from 1 cartridge.

But this printer does not have WIFI,So it would be difficult for me to print from my laptop.Does this printer have a network interface that can be plugged into the router and thus directly used to send prints from laptop in the home wifi network?

Otherwise i will need to spend more for wifi enabled printer.
Also please suggest me some models HP,Canon or anything better.

Thanks

You can do like g90814 said, and connect it to the router's USB port. Or you can share it with a computer. The computer hosting the printer will have to be on whenever you want to print, though. Also printer sharing does not always work.

I would just get a printer that has an ethernet port by default. Any wireless printer should.
