I've spent some time checking out different parts for a new gaming pc. Currently I am not playing any really demanding games, mostly playing league of legends.

I need help to pick a decent graphic card. I've checked out the GeForce GTX 960 STRIX 2GB and like AMD Radeon R9 280X 3GB (I think). Which one of these two are the best, any opinions?

Also, what motherboard should I get? Just a Asus B85-Plus or like Asus Z97-A?

As I'm mostly gaming should I get a i5 4690k instead of a i7? Cause I'm also skyping while playing for example. Is the AMD 8350 any good compared to the i5?

And what kind of power supply should I get? I've been thinking of either the XFX ProSeries Core Edition 550W or the Corsair CX600 or CX 600M (Don't really know the difference).

So, I really hope someone that is good with PC can help with out a bit! Thanks :D

Get the 280x over the 960, i5 over i7 for gaming because it will save you money for pretty much the same performance. The 8350 is a good processor but for gaming you can't beat intel right now. So if you have the budget for an i5 I would stick with it.

1. Both are good options, mostly up to personal preference.
2. Make sure its a Z97 board, I like the ASRock Fatal1ty Z97 Killer. Asus is good too, I use Asus boards but they're pricey.
3. i5 is fine, i7 is overkill. I would avoid the AMD CPU unless you will be using a lot of cores for video editing, etc.
4. Most Corsair or XFX PSUs are good. It really depends on your budget. Look at these: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1650gts3x or http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-power-supply-cx500

the AMD R9 280x is faster than a GTX 960, however it uses more power, and runs hotter (well, its faster after all). if your in it for pure performance, i would go for the R9 280x over the GTX 960 if the extra cost is with it to you.

no comment on Motherboards from me, i haven't been paying any attention to them lately.

the i5 is your best option for gaming, an i7 wont result in much gains if any.

i would go for the Corsair CX600m my self. Ive had good luck with Corsair and it's a well respected brand. furthermore, modular PSU's are easy on the cable management (just remove the unnecessary ones) and easier to install.

any other questions?
