I have been trying to get a 9gb pst file from a WD hard drive over to an HP Probook 6550b. We use Microsoft Outlook and I have tried the import/export from the Outlook program itself and it did not work as it would get hung up and the computer would freeze(it is having issues that is why I am trying to move this file to a new pc).
I am running out of ideas on how I will be able to accomplish this. Currently I am using a Startech USB to SATA adapter to pull the pst file from the hard drive. As I drag the correct Outlook.pst file to the new desktop it seems to get hung up with about 5 seconds remaining. After about 35 minutes an error code 0x8007045D will come up saying there was an I/O device error. I then went to Google this error and did my research in which I logged on in safe mode and checked the selective start up and then log back in normally and try it again.
I am currently waiting for this process again but I am stuck again at 5 seconds, so I am assuming this error will come up again. This is extremely important that I get these outlook emails, calenders, and contacts onto the new machine. If anyone can provide me with any assistance it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all!
