Hi,

I just built my first computer. It all went pretty well and it is up and running smoothly. Just out of curiousity, do I have to connect my GPU through the molex connector on the mobo or can i just connect it directly to the power supply?

btw, I have a ASROCK z97 extreme 3
GTX 970 MSI
Corsaire 750M

Thanks in advance!

Power for the video card can ONLY come from the power supply. I don't know where you would connect it on the motherboard but if you were to you would defiantly fry something. The video card consumes more power then the motherboard can give out. If you are talking about the connectors at the top next to the fan headers, i think that is for water cooled systems to power them.
