I recently built a PC for one of my friends. I plugged the monitor into the graphics card and started the computer to install the Cd drivers for both the motherboard and graphics card; however, when I was installing the motherboard Cd drivers, I was looking at the device manager for the graphics card and under display adapters it didn't have the graphics card it was just Microsoft integrated graphics. Do I need to install the graphics card Cd driver first before I see it or is something wrong?

Part list-
CPU: AMD Athlon X4 760K 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor
GFX: Asus Radeon R9 270 2GB DirectCU II Video Card
MOBO: Asus A78M-E Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard
OS: windows 8

Also, the motherboard manual says only FM2+ CPUs can use PCIE 3.0 and the gfx card is a PCIE 3.0, but the CPU is a FM2, is that an issue?

Solution
Install the graphics driver from the CD, but update it from the website the first chance you get.

As far as the PCIe issue...it shouldn't matter. Even if your motherboard/CPU doesn't support 3.0, it's backwards compatible with 2.0.
