New gpu with old pc

I won evga gtx 980 for free and i have old pc with about 5 year old parts and older graphic card can I use the gtx in the PC or will it break it or start on fire?

It most likely will work, as to you getting 100% out of it though, I'm not sure. You don't have to worry about it breaking or catching fire though lol.
