Will a EVGA 750w Bronze PSU support an 9590FX CPU and a R9 280x GPU?

I am wanting to know if it is required to have a 1000w PSU for this combination.

9590FX CPU
R9 280x GPU
NZXT H440 Case
ASRock 990FX Extreme 6
EVGA 750w Bronze 80+ PSU

I'd say if you can get more power go for it, if you can't go for the 750W PSU.

I wouldn't say 1000W but at least a strong 850 you will definitely need.

Haha? That's some nice future proofing you got there. Also you're forgetting that, that CPU is very power hungry and it'll put a lot of stress on the amps, we're talking about a 200W CPU here coupled with a 280X, plus aditional things. Also it's always better to NOT cheap out on a power supply, making it work at full tilt + the heat in the system will not be optimal for this config.

But would the 750 work for a while? I don't know if I can afford another PSU right now, what PSU would you suggest?

750watts still has plenty of overhead.

I'm just saying because even a 450 watt PSU holds an i7 and a GTX 780 Ti, but not for long. It's good to have overhead, also with the 280X he might add another one down the road and the 750 Watts will be giving a good stretch.

Thank you, I think I will probably stick with the 750w for the moment and in the future whenever I can upgrade to the 850w or even a 1000w just so i don't need to purchase another one.

Of course, as they said, 750W is okay but I've had bad experiences with not having enough power to run a system and I don't wish that upon anyone. I had a 520W PSU and when I upgraded to a GTX 560 Ti the computer would just totally shutdown after 5 minutes of gaming or less.

Yes i agree running out of power would be bad. But hes got at least 200 watts of overhead with a 750watt psu so i dont think he has to worry about that.

Warning: This power draw of this CPU is almost twice that of the average CPU. Due to this, AMD recommends using at minimum a 1000W power supply. For cooling, AMD recommends using either either closed loop liquid cooling or full system liquid cooling.
