Please help im missing 100gb from c driveTotal size of all folders and files (including hidden) is 44.1gbCorsair Force

basically my c drive is a 240gb ssd
adding up all files and folders +(hidden) i can account for 44.gb (everything on c)
and yet windows is saying that im using 144gb!
where are these 100gb gone? i could really use them!!!

Im running windows 7 this is a fresh install on a new build

Intel Core i7 4790K
32.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 666MHz
MSI Z97 GAMING 5 (MS-7917)
2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680

I would really appreciate any help at all with this! thanks in advance!

Is the drive partitioned at all? You are correct that this is too much space used for a fresh install.

You can go into My Computer and the C drive, and manually look at what files are occupying the space.

okay i ran a scandisk on start up and everything sorted itself out....... i hope now i have 120 gb free all the sudden it must have been some disk/windows hang up somewhere there
