Just a heads up; I have little tech knowledge, especially when it comes to hardware. I have had this Alienware M17xR4 laptop for a little over 2 years or so now, I have had no real problems with it. I keep it updated, run regular hardware checkups using SupportAssist (previously was Alien Autopsy) and I keep all my files organized and consistently scan for malware and viruses. Last week while doing my normal scans and such I decided to clean the fans, had no issue doing such and put it back together without any complications. The issue might be unrelated to that even.
Yesterday, so a while and a lot of usage after I cleaned the fans when I booted up my computer in the morning the fans were obnoxiously loud and seemingly running at full speed. They have continued to do so after multiple reboots. I have also ran SupportAssist and nothing was flagged as an issue. I have also checked the temperatures on the components and nothing is near high, in fact they're lower than normal. So can someone help me figure out what is going on and how to fix it? Thanks.
