Hello, went to change a noisy fan on the heat sink but when I took it out it ripped my phenom 955 cpu out and has damaged the pins so I put in a phenom 550 but cant get all ram to work in all the slots ..using a asrock m3a770de it sugguest if your using 1600 MHz ram to use slot 3-4 but the only slots that work are 1-3 it really has got me beat .when I boot up with all ram in it wont reach post . It was sugguested to use memtest to see if I had dodgy slots but how can I use it if it don't boot up with all ram in or do I not need all ram in to see if slots are working

well tried and tried to sort it out but strangest thing happened on my last attempt put it on with all ram in went to answer door and heard windows boot up tune but when I got back blank screen saying no signal but guess I just except defeat and get a new motherboard lol

Tried just re-arranging your ram all together into different slots? I can't figure out how accidentally ripping the CPU out of the socket/bending pins would affect the ram slots, especially since the memory controller is built into the CPU. Also, you may want to try remounting the cooler onto the phenom 550. I'm not sure if this affects AMD since it's CPU's still have pins, but I've heard for Intel CPU's incorrect mounting pressure can cause DIMM slots not to work correctly.
