GTX 960 worth upgrading from SLI GTX 560 Ti's?

My specs are:

i5 3570k @ 4.2ghz with a Corsair H50
16 GB G.Skill Ripjaws X @ 2133mhz
ASRock Extreme4 Z77
Corsair HX850 power supply
Acer GN246HL 144hz monitor

Can you get 60 fps at highest settings? If so than get a better monitor.

I would go with the 770 it has the same 2gb of v ram as the 960 and is about the same price. And it scores about 1500 pts higher in fire strike above it a link to a 210$ 770 from newegg I think it's about 20$ more than the cheapest 960 and it has 2 fans (the 770 linked above is manufacture refurbished by EVGA

I like Jacob's suggestion. The 770 is one tier above the 960 in the Tom's Hardware GPU hierarchy chart (http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107-7.html). But were it me, I would try to stretch my budget to purchase 970. I suppose it depends on how many FPS you're trying to achieve. Anyone agree? disagree?

I ended up moving to the GTX 970 after this discussion and then subsequently to the GTX 1080 in 2017.
