Hello all. I'm having some concerns as I'm not sure what's going on. I have an amd athlon x4 630. I recently reapplied the thermal paste because it looked like the temps in HWMonitor were getting hotter then normal. Granted, not panic inducing hot, but figured I'd reapply anyway .
I have a cooler master tx3, 4 intakes and 3 exhaust fans. Afterwards, I checked HWMonitor and the TMPIN0 temp is skipping around in big jumps. Like from 29c to 55c to 32c then to 64c back to 50c. The core temps (0-3) has a max right now at 49c while running prime95. My question is, which one should I be paying attention to? Should I be concerned? I think the max temp for this CPU is 71c. I haven't seen the tmpIn0 jump around so much. Could it be the paste settling? TmpIN0 wouldn't get above 55c before I reapplied and I applied it no differently (pea method). Thanks for your time.
