Laptop connectivity issues, despite all other devices functioning.

Our household has a large family, with 2 desktops, 2 laptops, 3 smartphones and 1 tablet.
Of these 1 desktop is connected to the router via Ethernet cable.
The other devices all connect to the router via wireless. However as of the last half a month or so, one laptop (Toshiba Satellite) has been having issues with the internet.

It still is able to connect to the internet, and can download files off steam and mediafire etc. at the same speed, however it has issues when playing video games, where many games claim "no internet connection available" and many websites require refreshing multiple times, as they come up with "not connected to the internet" despite there being a download in the background running without a hitch. This happens with IE, Chrome and Firefox.

Also many websites, I am unable to log in as it times out, and sometimes I cannot read captchas, and when watching videos sometimes the video just stops loading, like the internet disconnected (regardless of the steam download in the background.)
For example, the posting of this thread was stuck on this page for 5 min, similar to half the time I post on other forums. The other half it is finished instantly.

I have no clue what is going on as my other computers are fine.

Solution
Run malware and virus scans to make sure you don't have nasties on the laptop. Make sure your wireless card drivers are up to date. If all else fails try a USB wireless adapter. I have had laptops with bad wireless cards that were exhibiting these symptoms and the only fix was replacing the wireless cards.
