Hello there.
I am facing huger problem with my PC, because i can`t understand why i can only use 3,24gb RAM..
This is my matherboard - http://www.foxconnchannel.com/ProductDetail.aspx?T=motherboard&U=en-us0000492 - IT clearly sais that it can run up to 16gb ram.
Ther is remapping option in the bios menu, but when it enable it, the PC can`t start or it reboots many times and i have to put out some of the moemry in order the computer to start.
I have unchecked the max memory in msconfig > boot > advanced.
i can see the available memory in the bios menu so everything i guess it`s ok with the sockets. I really can`t think of anything else that i can do..
yesterday i`ve read of an option XMP - extreme memory profile but i`m not sure it will help. Thank you for your help.

What version of windows do you have? If you have a 32bit os installed then only 3.25 gbs of ram will show up and be able to be accessed. Check if you have 32 bit or 64bit installed under the computer properties tab.

Also try to remove the ram and mive it into slots.

Try to test each ram stick in each ram slot separately, 1 at a time. That way you can rule out if you have a bad ram stick or slot. Example: ram stick 1 in ram slot 1. Boot test. Repeat with same ram in next slot.

You can try
The "Boot" Tab,Then Un-check "Max Memory" in the ms config

Or go Into the bios and check all your settings

(The x86 folder is for your 32bit programs, 64bit runs both 32+64 where as 32bit can run only 32)

So i have tried plugging the 4gb ram stick in every stocket, did this with the other 4gb also and all sockets are working, but when i decieded to put them socket to socket the computer couldnt start, it was rebooting. After i moved it in the other socket, then the PC started. In the bios i see 8196 mb ram recognised, but again when i check the properties i see 3.24 usable. The un-check max memory is unchecked all the time.

You said you have 2x4gb memory that you're having issues with. Why does your picture show you having 11gb? Do you have 2x4gb plus 1 additional 3gb memory? Refer to your motherboard manual for how to install your memory for Dual channel vs Single channel, etc. Might help.

So i tried to put the two memory sticks one to eachother as of DIMM1 and DIMM2, and the PC is rebooting non stop when it reaches the loading of windwos 7.. i even get repair option, but then the blue screen of death is coming. Trying to enable remapping does the same thing. Now i have removed 1 of the 4gb, in order to start up the pc.. so what could this be ?
