Solution
This system has got quite alot of power, can be OCed, also switched to a I7 if needed and has a great durable portable case with a handle on top with a 'wind tunnel" effect for cooling.

Update: Went over budget on the first one >.<

Since you mentioned a laptop how about a portable mini-itx build? They have good performance & a decent upgrade route depending on parts. Do you have the OS? Also I don't do any form of rendering or autocad, does that require any form of GPU or is it more cpu heavy?

You mention ATX in your original post. Would micro-atx work?

Yuor applications will work better with 8Gb of RAM and some can use 16Gb.

I ran out of budget before getting:
Headphones
Webcam
Office 365

To get this, you can cut back on the GPU (save about $100) and reduce the CPU to an i5 4460 (save about $60), and/or reduce the memory to 8Gb (save about $60) or change some of your requirements.
