Thanks! I think I did that before and for some reason it, loaded windows 7 home premium all right, but did not format my hard drive.

To wipe out the drive during the install, you have to select Custom.
It will ask what partition
Select each one, Delete
Eventually you'll have one large space
Let Windows use that whole thing.

That is the official site, right from MicroSoft themselves. However it only allows you to download the ISO after it validates your product key. There is a link to the Windows USB / DVD creator on the same page.

Right. Either way will work.

I went to that site but they said mine was pre installed with my system, so I cannot download it.

Ok so I downloaded the ISO file, but when I go to the windows & download tool and select my Iso, it says that it is not a valid ISO file and tells me to try again

That's weird. I think you gave me the wrong windows 7 ISO file. Because also in Rufus it says failure when i try to create a bootable USB. I don't know what is wrong.

The link I posted way up there is the official ISO files from MS.
They work.

I looked into the space it should take and on the website it says it should have been 3.1 gb but when i actually download it the actual spacing of the file is only 1 gigabye. Something is wrong. I downloaded it twice and the same thing happened. Can you provide any other link to a windows 7 Home premium 64 bit? Thanks

Something is wrong with the way you are downloading it.
That is the official location.

hmm....that happened once last year. It came back online in a couple of days.

I do not know of anywhere else official.
