I am choosing between two power supplies, mainly the companies:

1: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 750W 80+ Gold
2: Antec EA-750 Platinum

Which one is better and is Antec even good?

Solution
Effective cable management will prevent disruptions to smooth air flow in your case and give you better cooling results. You can have effective management with a non-modular, but this is much easier with a modular system.

I definitely recommend the EVGA G2 750W - you're not going to find another PSU of the same quality and price that is ALSO fully modular.

Yes they are both good. The Antec has better power consumption (Platinum grade), over the EVGA (Gold grade). But the difference in consumption is so minuscule that the only actual difference in my opinion is the price of the actual PSU.

Depends on where you buy it: http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/compare/antec-power-supply-ea750platinum%2Cevga-power-supply-220g20750xr/

Personally, I'll never buy a non-modular PSU - there are too many advantages with modular systems. You just use the cables you need, reducing your cable management requirements, and when you're running the cables, being able to do so from either end or both at the same time is huge. You can swap out cables at need, and if you need to pull the PSU for some reason, you can disconnect all the cables and leave them in place.
