This is on an Acer laptop and thinking of the Intel Chipset drivers, including video and the Broadcom NIC / WLAN drivers. The hardware manufacturers drivers are more recent than the Acer ones but not sure if its as simple as that?

Thanks for and advice.

The manufacturer of the part is always best. Acer doesn't necessarily have the most up to date driver, because they don't actually manufacturer wireless cards or processors and the like. The manufacturer of the actual hardware is always going to have the most up-to-date version of the driver.
