I have twin 780s and running Furmark, using a watt meter, the system pulls 765 watts from the wall....each 780 pulls about 295 watts overclocked. The 4770k CPU is pulling only 40 watts under Furmark, tho I can hit 145 watts under a CPu benchmark ..... X99 CPUd can pull 230 watts.
Looking here, I used 1.4 volts for a 4.5 GHz OC

And then went here to run the numbers

1 CPU
High End Desktop
Intel CPU
LGA 2011-3
90% TDP
4500 Speed
1.4 volts
260 CPU watts
4 x 4GB
3 x 780 (not overclocked)
SLI
No PhysX
1 SSD
1 HD 7200 rpm SATA
1 DVD writer drive
6 USB devices
4 140mm fans
4 140mm LED fans
Capacitor Aging = 15%
Wattage - 1117
here they show the Asis 780 pulling 263 watts and when running Furmark, I'm pulling 112% of TDP.... that extra 12% is therefore worth about 32 watts per card.... so if overclocked, that's another
32 watts x 3 cards or an extra 96 watts.
1117 + 96 = 1213 as being the maximum theoretical pull from that system. Of course it's pretty damn hard to have everything at 100% at the same time so no, I don't think you will see it break 1100 watts ever ... running Furmark, I think you will see about 1060 base dupon what I have physically measured, tho to be fair, my water pump can pull 40 watts so say 1020 watts.
But lest not forget as the PSU's caps age, we can expect 10 - 15% loss of power output over the life of the very, very best PSUs. .... and the RM series uses some CapXon and other Tawainese caps which do not have a very good reputation compared to japanese made caps. It's also been reported that heat sinks are incredibly small for a 1000 watt unit.
Voltage regulation ranges up to 4% (5 volt rail) and it failed to meet ATX standard for hold up time (62% of required). t also failed the load test, shutting down due to over temperature. Ripple on the 12V and 3.3 v rails was pretty bad. Given the above, I wouldn't wanna be anywhere near close to the 1000 watt area and if overclocking the GPUs the ripple on the 12v raik is likely to be problematic.
The Seasonic X-1250 EVGA G2 and P2 or anything from SF Leadex Platform or even Antec HCP would work here
