Can I run an AMD FX-4300 stock clock with only a heatsink? I was just wondering. I have REALLY good system cooling. I do not have watercooling, though. With the CPU fan, my hottest componant is about 50°c. I will not say why I don't want the CPU fan, but I will ask, will my AMD FX-4300 (non over or underclocked) be safe without a CPU fan, instead JUST a heatsink???

Is there any good heatsinks that would be good without a CPU fan then? I do a lot of multitasking, but it's not heavy. Just a bunch of very light programs like file explorer or Windows media player that I never close. Normally, about ten tabs open, all light, and maybe chrome, as well as a few light games like minecraft (I have a GT 730 GPU for games, takes some load off of the CPU, right?) That I'll play while listening to music. I also have skype that runs a lot, as well. Am I comletely screwed into needing a CPU fan???

Well, I'd rather go back to a 300 W PSU that doesn't blow up my CPU fan, lol. I'll just have to put my original PSU in until I get a new and better CPU fan and heatsink as well. Both are stock CPU cooling componants. Stock stuff sucks, just sucks.
