Hello tom's. I was recently having posts about 290's bottleneck with FX 8320 stock clock, I was looking to OC CPU but my motherboard was lacking OC capabilities, Asus M5A97 LE R2.0. I wanted to get a good motherboard and OC, but today I purchased 4790K and Asus Z97-A motherboard. Is it a good choice? This is my first time having Intel system. I will be looking to OC CPU and GPU. GPU is Sapphire Tri-X with coolers removed Corsair HG10 and Corsair H55 is on so temps are low, CPU is cooled by Corsair H100.
Here's is temperatures after 4 hour gaming on GPU and FX 8320 which will be changed to intel as soon as it arives.
System specs
Amd FX 8320 -> Intel i7 4790k (Corsair H100)
Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 -> Asus Z97-A
Sapphire R9 290 1000mhz (Corsair HG10 H55)
8gb Ballistic Sport 1333mhz
120gb Samsung Evo 840 SSD
1tb WD caviar blue HDD
Evga 600b PSU
Corsair 750D case
Is my PSU enough for system? I should be less with intel than AMD i guess?
Thank you Tom's.
