Hello, I am seeking help in building my first gaming computer. I know almost nothing about building computers. I do know i need an OS. Im not sure if ill need overclocking capabilities or not. I just want to play minecraft with some decent amount of modding and other such games as LoL, Skyrim, Fallout, Battlefield 4, and maybe the sims. i would like at least a TB of hardrive space. that is really my only request also i would most likely just use my tv as the monitor for now which runs at 720p. Thank you all who contribute. Also possible upgrading in the future. maybe better graphics or more storage capability. Thanks again. I should also clarify that I dont know what overclocking is.

It's based on this. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/build-budget-gaming-pc,4021.html

I'd be tempted to add a SSD of at least 240GB or upgrade the motherboard to at least a H97 so that you can later replace the CPU easily as a cheapish upgrade.

I would not want to run a much more powerful GPU on this CPU.

Reasoning
CPU: Tom's hit 4.4GHz using stock cooler and H81 board
Mobo: Motherboard Tom's used for 4.4GHz on stock
Ram: Standard, 8GB CL9/1600 RAM
HDD: 1TB, reliable, fairly fast
GPU: New, performance will increase as new drivers come out. Will run max at 1080p so 720p will be an absolute breeze (150+fps)
PSU: High quality, respected PSU
Case: Cheap, standard. Will have to remove some HDD bays to hit the card in, possibly.
